Suren Ermoyan was vice president at Lennon and Newell and was given the American Airlines account, which made him the account manager. Suren was the one who thought of the concept of having celebrities fly American Airlines. Everyone in films loved the idea. The celebrities’ agents were asked if they thought any of their clients would be willing to participate in this campaign. The telephones rang off the wall. Everybody who was anybody said absolutely. First class, anywhere in the world was offered, not only for them but also for their family. It went on for five glorious years. Milton Greene was the photographer for this assignment and photographed countless celebrities including Audrey Hepburn, Rock Hudson, Grace Kelly, William Holden, Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis, Bob Hope, Gregory Peck, Alfred Hitchcock, Jimmy Durante, Henry Fonda, Kirk Douglas, Danny Kaye, Jimmy Stewart, Rosalind Russell, Esther Williams, Doris Day, Tippi Hedren, Ethel Merman, Groucho Marx, Rosemary Clooney, Marilyn Monroe, and more.

I would like to be remembered as someone who accomplished useful deeds, and who was a kind and loving person. I would like to leave the memory of a human being with a correct attitude and who did her best to help others.
